With that said, in today's fast-paced digital world, businesses are always looking for new ways to improve how they present content and data on their websites. Ninja Tables Pro is a powerful WordPress plugin that creates functional and visually appealing tables, improving user experience and organization. We successfully implemented the Ninja Tables plugin on a client's membership site for their media business, in line with their unique organizational needs. The goal of the build was to showcase ad creatives in an organized and accessible way for members, and Ninja Tables Pro was the ideal solution.
Our client runs a digital media business offering marketing brokerage solutions. Their website features an exclusive members-only section where publishers (users) can access a diverse collection of advertising creatives from multiple media vendors. The client aimed to implement a streamlined solution that allows these members to easily navigate and browse vendor creatives organized by ad unit format. This dashboard would include standard display creative types like leaderboards (728x90), skyscrapers (120x600), and in-page rectangles (300x250), all accessible from a single, comprehensive index. Using Ninja Tables Pro, we created an efficient system for members to choose a vendor from their partner's list and view a structured table of ad creatives, including payout details, media types, and download links.
1. Drag & Drop Table Building
Ninja Tables Pro's drag-and-drop interface enabled us to quickly build and rearrange tables based on the client's requirements. Given this build would require a dynamic environment where ad creatives change often, having an intuitive interface was essential. More importantly, the plugin enabled our client's team to update and manage data independently after the initial setup.
2. Google Sheets Integration
The ability to sync with Google Sheets was critical for our client. Integrating Ninja Tables Pro with Google Sheets empowered the client to efficiently manage their data directly within Google Sheets, ensuring seamless synchronization with the table on their website. This configuration guarantees that any changes made in Google Sheets, including new vendor creatives or payout modifications, are instantly updated on the site. That also means less training and more production.
3. Extensive Table Design Customization
Ninja Tables Pro's customization options gave us complete control over the table design, ensuring the tables matched our client's brand. We customized the colors, fonts, backgrounds, and layouts to match their member website's style, achieving a professional and cohesive appearance that provided function and enhanced the brand's credibility.
4. CSV and JSON Import/Export
Another standout feature we employed was the import/export functionality. Our client's media team required a solution to effectively share tabular data with stakeholders and facilitate the transfer of information to other systems. Most conveniently (as it were), Ninja Tables Pro allows users to effortlessly export data as CSV or JSON files with just one click, streamlining data sharing and significantly enhancing workflow efficiency.
5. Pre-made templates for Fast Setup
Time was crucial for this client, so we used Ninja Tables Pro's pre-made templates to jumpstart the project. The templates provided a robust foundation that we tailored to meet the client's unique requirements, incorporating elements of pricing tables and data comparison layouts typical in the marketing industry.
1. Multimedia Attachments
Multimedia support was essential in this project, as the client needed to include various ad creatives in each table. Ninja Tables Pro enabled us to embed images, videos, and links within the tables, empowering members to preview advertising creatives at a glance with zero exertion. This feature introduced a dynamic visual element that significantly boosted user engagement and facilitated choosing the most suitable creative.
2. Custom CSS for Precise Styling
By leveraging custom CSS, we executed meticulous styling adjustments that enhanced the tables to align perfectly with the client's brand standards. Doing so gave the tables a polished, cohesive look, ensuring they were functional and visually integrated into the website's design.
3. Dynamic Data and Custom Filters
Considering the client's requirement to categorize data based on various parameters, Ninja Tables Pro's support for dynamic data and custom filters proved essential. Members could easily filter ad creatives based on criteria like size, media type, and payout amount, enabling them to find the perfect assets they need. More importantly, this level of interactivity made it easier for members to find what they wanted without scrolling through long lists.
4. Conditional Formatting for Visual Organization
To further enhance the usability of tables, we applied conditional formatting to emphasize different payout tiers. We then set up a color-coding system for table cells based on time sensitivity and payout value, helping the client's members (better) identify urgent and high-value campaigns on the fly. These enhancements significantly aided the client in boosting engagement with their most successful ad creatives.
5. HTML Transformations for Enhanced Interactivity
Ninja Tables Pro's HTML transformations empowered us to embed interactive hyperlinks within selected table cells, granting users immediate access to asset downloads, campaign landing pages, or tracking services. This feature made it simple for members to interact with data directly from the table, streamlining the overall user experience.
6. Merge/Split Cells for Complex Data Presentation
By strategically merging and splitting cells, we crafted a clear and organized layout that effectively summarized information for each vendor. This layout proved exceptionally beneficial when multiple creatives or payout details needed to be organized under a single entity, elevating the overall sophistication of the table design.
7. Lightbox Feature for Previewing Media
In our ongoing efforts to improve user experience, we activated Ninja Tables Pro's Lightbox feature. Actioning this feature enabled members to view all digital creative material in a larger format without exiting the table. This feature gave users a clear preview of ad creatives, improving accessibility and making the site more user-friendly.
8. Data Visualization with Ninja Charts
Our client also wanted to provide data visualizations of payouts, and the Ninja Charts integration made this easy. We created charts highlighting the performance of different campaigns, helping members make informed decisions quickly based on graphical insights. This feature has proven invaluable for the client's media business, enabling them to effectively present high-performing campaigns through a visually stunning and informative approach.
